Ethernet over PDH/SDH (E1/E2/E3) Converters with Bridge mode
We offer a new family of "Ethernet over PDH/SDH" devices for connecting Fast Ethernet LANs over widely deployed E1, E2, E3 channels.
It is a very reliable and cost effective set of converters operating in the "Bridge Connection" mode. Because of high performance hardware they don't lose packets and don't have problems inherent to software bridges.
The built-in self-learning Ethernet bridge automatically learns MAC addresses of LAN connected systems
in order to forward only those packets whose destination address is not located in the local network.
It provides IEEE 802.3x flow control for more effective packet forwarding. It also supports transparency
for any protocol as well as "standard" and "long" VLAN frames transfer, enabling users to employ VLAN
and other protocols that require large frame sizes.
It's very easy to configure these converters using DIP-switches only without additional equipment or terminals.
Various modifications are available:
· qBRIDGE-100: Converter/ bridge with 10/100Base-TX Ethernet port and one G.703 port (E1 Unframed)
· qBRIDGE-101: Converter/ bridge with 10/100Base-TX Ethernet port and one E1 port (Framed/Unframed)
· qBRIDGE-102: Converter/ bridge with 10/100Base-TX Ethernet port and one E2 port (Unframed)
· qBRIDGE-103: Converter/ bridge with 10/100Base-TX Ethernet port and one E3 port (Unframed)
· qBRIDGE-201: Dual E1 access unit/ drop & insert Mux with 10/100Base-TX Ethernet and two E1 ports
· qBRIDGE-401: Converter/ bridge with four 10/100Base-TX Ethernet ports and four E1 ports
is a high performance converter/bridge that enables connection of two 10/100M LANs using an E1 line
with minimal initial configuration.
Operates as a transparent bridge and may be an economical alternative to a fully featured router
in applications, where remote management or traffic control is not necessary.
E1 channel operates in an unstructured traffic transmission mode with
fixed speed of 2.048 Mbps (E1 Unframed mode). G.703 interface is applied.
This bridge can also operate as a modem in "point-to-point" application using 4-wire copper lines.
This provides an operating range up to 2kм.
is a high performance converter/bridge that can be used for connection of remote
segments of 10/100Base-TX Ethernet networks over standard E1 channels (SDH or PDH network). qBRIDGE-101
can be connected to ITU G.703/G.704 structured as well as to ITU G.703 unstructured links.
In other words, qBRIDGE-101 enables connection of two LANs through an E1 line using selected timeslots only.
The converter supports all functions of the qBRIDGE-100 but has some additional operating modes:
Data transfer speed is 64-1984 Kbps with 64 Kbps steps
Automatic alarm generation
Fractional E1 mode
qBRIDGE-102 and qBRIDGE-103
is a high performance converter/bridge that is useful for connection of remote
segments of 10/100Base-TX Ethernet networks over an SDH or PDH telecommunication network
over standard E2 (E3) channels in an unstructured mode with fixed speed of 8448 Kbps (E2)
or 34368 Kbps (E3). G.703 interface is applied.
This allows the provision of convergent services (VoIP, video, data). Furthermore this bridge
can also operate as a modem in "point-to-point" application using two coaxial cables. This provides
an approximate operating range up to 400 м.
is a high performance dual E1 access unit with an opportunity of allocation of a part of E1 bandwidth
(timeslots) for Ethernet traffic. The device has one port 10/100Base-TX Ethernet and two E1 ports.
It can be used in a standard mode of interface converter (like qBRIDGE-101 with redundant E1 channel)
as well as in a mode of "Drop-Insert" (Add-Drop) Multiplexer
with transparent transfer of unused timeslots between E1 ports.
is a very reliable, high performance and cost effective converter designed for connecting Fast Ethernet LANs over up to four E1 channels.
The qBRIDGE-401 devices support four framed E1 interfaces. It also has four 10/100Base-TX
port Ethernet switch with different QoS capabilities, e.g. VoiP traffic prioritization.
The devices can be used in a point-to-point application.
